Mills-Peninsula has been named one of the nation’s 100 Great Community Hospitals by Becker’s Hospital Review, in a list published June 30, 2012. Mills-Peninsula was the only hospital on the Peninsula named to the list.
The list recognizes top performing hospitals with fewer than 550 beds and minimal teaching programs. To compile the list, the Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team analyzed information and rankings from sources including iVantage Health Analytics, Thomson Reuters, HealthGrades and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Hospitals named in the list demonstrated commitments to the health of their local population through clinical excellence, community involvement and various other efforts, according to the publication.
Becker’s Hospital Review is a bimonthly publication covering business and legal issues in hospitals and health systems.
